Magasin cover Illustrasjon for diabetes magasin

 

I got an order from Media Mania, an company who design Magazines. They wanted a nice picture that showed different personalities of people in a long period where they have to take care of there sickness and situations. The picture had to be able to been taken apart and used for different places. 

 

Here I will show how I made the picture from sketch to finished product 

 

 

So I started whit making a bunch of sketches. This is the sketch I and my customer chose. We thought this sketch had a lot of potential.

 

 

I made a more detailed sketch that focused on the expressions, layout and style. Some details disappeared and changed to make the finished product better, and some stayed. 

 

 

Here I started to tried to finish the product and I started whit the line art.

 

 

Coloring last, and the picture is finished, and the costumer is satisfied whit the picture.

 

Originally the picture was supposed to just be in to sides of the magazine. But Media Mania liked it so much they put it on the cover of the magazine. So this picture is important to me. Because I was able to prove to myself that being an Illustrator was not impossible. And the people in Media Mania become my allies and professional friends. I looked up to them now and there professionalisms. My views on how to treat costumers I got from them. So I owe them a lot.
